Insurance coverage


Rogaland Bilutleie can offer you insurance coverage from Tryg Forsikring that makes your trip safer when you rent a car.

We offer two different insurance covers that lower the costs for you in case of damage down from 50.000 ,- which is the deductible without insurance.

Standard insurance coverage (CDI and TPI)

A rental car has car insurance, in the same way as a private car. The difference is that the deductible on a rental car is significantly higher. In some cases up to the value of the car. With this insurance, the deductible is reduced in the event of collision, fire, theft/vandalism, glass damage and rescue to the following depending on the type of car:

Passenger car: NOK 8,000 ,-
Premium car: NOK 20,000 ,-
Small van: NOK 10,000
Large van: NOK 20.000 ,-

In order for the insurance to apply, the general rental conditions must be followed.

Standard insurance is included in all our rentals.

Super Insurance coverage (SCDI and STPI)

You can also choose to purchase additional super insurance coverage. With this additional insurance, the deductible in the event of collision, fire, theft/vandalism, glass damage and rescue is further reduced to the following, depending on the type of car:

  • Passenger car: NOK 3,000.
  • Premium car: NOK 10,000.
  • Small van: kr 3.000 ,-
  • Large van: NOK 10,000

In order for the insurance to apply, the general rental conditions must be followed.

Third party liability insurance (TPL)

Third party liability insurance is required by law and is included in all rental prices.

Liability insurance has no limit on the amount covered per accident in the event of personal injury or death.

Liability insurance covers property damage of up to NOK 100,000,000 per accident.

Liability insurance covers damage to the driver of the rental car, passengers and third parties.

It does not cover the hirer’s belongings or damage to trailers attached to the vehicle, such as caravans or trailers.
